Assembly services as part of your company's logistics

16 February, 2023 Warehouse and Added Value Services

In logistics, making each operation as complete as possible usually improves processes
and, therefore, profitability. Thus, when business operations of a company require assembly services as well as meeting sales specifications, the best thing to do is have them included in the logistics processes.

For that reason, logistics and distribution providers also offer partial manufacturing, assembly and packing services, that is, maquila services, since integrating them will improve time in which products are prepared and delivered. It will also enable logistics strategy and performance generally speaking, mainly if it is handled by a single vendor.

Integrated value-added services, or having an assembly station in the
warehouse, optimizes and streamlines the logistics process without sacrificing them,
adding value and saving costs, especially if these services are included in the logistics operation; and makes the work chain more efficient and thus faster.
