This project aims to optimize the processes of reception, storage, handling, dispatch, picking, packing and inventory management for IFF Danisco. The distribution center is strategically located in the Siberia Business Park and has a multi-temperature storage infrastructure that meets the specific requirements of the client’s products.   **Key Benefits for IFF Danisco** Our achievements in this implementation are numerous and provide IFF Danisco with a number of key benefits. Among the most outstanding deliveries are: Implementation of controlled temperature rooms: The installation of a controlled temperature room between 2°C and 10°C with capacity for 300 pallets (PP) and another controlled temperature room between 2°C and 4°C with 29 positions of light shelving. Storage infrastructure: Implementation of 1200 pallets (PP) at room temperature and the acquisition of 2 ultra-freezers. White area and thermal mapping: Creation of a white area for repackaging products and exhaustive thermal mapping to ensure optimal storage conditions. Electrical and civil works adaptations: The necessary adaptations were carried out for the efficient operation of the distribution center. Improvements in security: Strategic demarcations in the warehouse, installation of CCTV systems and adaptations in occupational safety and health, as well as corresponding signage. State-of-the-art technological infrastructure and equipment: Implementation of a technological infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment. Forklifts and logistics equipment: Acquisition of forklifts and logistics transport equipment to streamline internal processes. Personnel and certifications: Recruitment and training of new personnel, obtaining the regulatory certifications required by the Secretariat and ICA. Optimized process flows: Design of optimized process flows to maximize efficiency. Constant monitoring: Constant monitoring of the temperature and humidity of the warehouse to ensure the quality of stored products.   **Types of products and challenges overcome** As for the types of products that IFF Danisco stores in the new distribution center, these are mainly bags of raw materials used in the manufacture of animal food products. This variety of products requires specific storage conditions, which we have been able to satisfy with our controlled temperature facilities and technological adaptations. When IFF Danisco decided to outsource its logistics operation, they had concerns and challenges that needed to be overcome.   **Overcoming challenges and solutions provided** Some of the fears and pains they experienced included fear of affecting their operations and sales due to the disruption that could be generated by the change, as well as the need to expand their storage capabilities due to existing limitations, such as a shortage of docks for dispatches. In addition, it is important to note that this distribution center is not exclusive, but operates as a multi-client space. The solution provided by Solistica has allowed IFF Danisco to save energy and effort in several aspects of its operation. Firstly, the transfer of the logistics operation was carried out efficiently, thanks to our experience and knowledge in the field. We managed to carry out the movement of the merchandise without conflicts or significant deviations, and only a minimum number of breakdowns (24 in total) were presented considering the quantity of products transferred. This expert planning and smooth execution resulted in a fluid and trouble-free process, avoiding losses of time and resources for our client. In addition, Solistica assumed responsibility for inventory control, carrying out an exhaustive reconciliation to ensure that the quantities of products in IFF Danisco’s system were accurate and reflected reality. This measure not only relieved our client of the burden of managing inventory during the transfer, but also ensured the integrity and accuracy of data at all times.   **Improvement of customer experience and ongoing commitment** The transfer process and implementation of the new distribution center has not only provided operational benefits to IFF Danisco, but has also contributed to improving their customer experience. From the beginning, they were pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of the implementation. Our ability to establish a distribution center according to their requirements and expectations far exceeded what was expected, generating a sense of trust and satisfaction in our client. In addition, Solistica assumed responsibility for inventory control, carrying out an exhaustive reconciliation to ensure that the quantities of products in IFF Danisco’s system were accurate and reflected reality.
