This is the type of challenge Solistica likes to take on. Solistica is fully committed to its clients; going well beyond delivering, helping them with scenarios that aim to meet major goals. Whenever we transport medications, we acknowledge that lives, and health, are at stake. For example, we had a fascinating experience that challenged our team’s capacity for wonder, Solistica was chosen to deliver a very important order to an inaccessible location in Colombia’s Sogamoso county. Baxter Laboratories, a multinational company leader in the health sector, had to deliver a therapy for a patient with renal insufficiency. Baxter had already trained all the logistics’ staff involved in this type of deliveries; therefore, the person charged with delivering this order had already been coached by a kidney specialist. Because of the importance of this type of products, a synergy between all our client’s levels had to be created and raise the awareness among the staff involved in the complex logistics chain. > But that training was just part of the challenge. When the team arrived at the city, they realized that, to reach the patient, they had to move 20 crates weighing 20 kilograms each for more than 6 hours over a road that did not allow the transit of vehicles, so they had to involve horses. The team was aware of how important the delivery was, so they started to look for a solution and, driven by their commitment to service, they involved added the help of the horse trainer, the only one with experience in that mode of transportation. Thus, they began the journey to help the patient have what she needed for her dialysis, which was indispensable due to her health. This was the first of many deliveries, met according to Baxter’s protocol. Thanks to this and other experiences, we have tested our specialized delivery systems, controlling every stage of the supply chain and making sure to meet every detail of the process while lowering delivery times, achieving operational efficiency, and maximizing productivity in the handling of these types of products. That time, Baxter strengthened its resolve to trust us. Today, we deliver not only medical treatments, but also technology and other industries’ products that demand the same level of effort and earnestness when handling their goods. This ability to adapt, customize, and overcome adversity makes us proud. Challenges that make it difficult for us and drive us to make informed decisions based on flexible thinking is what makes us strong.
