Colombia Story: End-to-end logistics that breaks paradigms

13 November, 2019 Success stories

We showed our logistics strength in Colombia once again in 2017 thanks to the collaboration deal signed with 3M, one of the largest consumer goods and retail companies in the world.

Solistica has served the LTL logistics needs of multinational 3M for more than 25 years in Colombia. This long-term relationship put us in an unbeatable position when the time came to take part in an open bid launched by this company. We participated looking to broaden and develop our relationship with this client, which is a leader in the retail and consumer goods sectors

During this time, we have strengthened our relationship with 3M, and we have proven how beneficial it is to break the paradigms of warehousing, since they managed the operations of these processes with their own resources before our collaboration began.

When answering the bid, we adapted to our client’s needs in what was going to be their first fully outsourced operation, and we helped them transform their supply chain by efficiently integrating in-house the processes for reception of materials, picking, preparation, and shipping.

The process to assess our proposal required meetings and multiple visits to our distribution centers, where 3M could witness firsthand our differentiated value offer for this sector as well as our accumulated knowledge, and the high standards of quality that characterize us in the market.

This collaboration created a change within 3M and meant a great achievement for Solistica because it allowed us to expand our capacities, our approach to service, and our portfolio of end-to-end solutions in Colombia and Latin America.
